Pentylenetetrazol Enhances Memory Function

Abstract
Pentylenetetrazol, in oral doses of 1 to 30 milligrams per kilogram of body weight, significantly facilitated one-trial learning and memory retention in CF1 mice, whether administered before or immediately after the initial trial. The effects appeared significantly greater than those observed in earlier studies with oral administration of strychnine or picrotoxin at 0.2 to 0.8 and 2.4 milligrams per kilogram, respectively.Keywords
