Abstract
A report is given of the incidence of intestinal and blood parasites in 2 groups of natives of eastern New Guinea. Incidence of intestinal protozoa, tapeworms, Ascaris and Strongyloides was low. Hookworm and Trichuris were very prevalent. Approx. 50% of the blood smears were positive for malaria parasites and 30% for microfilariae. Periodicity of microfilariae is discussed.
