Abstract
Measurements of the specific heat of plutonium from room temperature to the melting point are described. The data are analysed and an estimate is made of the electronic contribution to the specific heat term for the α, β, γ and δ-phases. This term is large for all of these phases, and shows reasonable agreement with that derived from susceptibility data.Keywords
