Abstract
Differential cross sections for 14.2-MeV neutron inelastic scattering to the first levels in have been measured at forward angles using a time-of-flight spectrometer. The experimental values agree with the predictions of the excited-core model; mixing between the ground state and the excited state must be allowed for, the square of the mixing parameter being .
