Abstract
SUMMARY An isolate of Fusarium roseum Link emend. Snyder & Hansen was found growing on the wounds of a severely burned child. Clinically, this was of interest because the fungus appeared to be instrumental in early separation of the burn eschar. Mycologically, the occurrence was of interest because members of the genus Fusarium have been known to occur on human tissue only rarely. Both clinical and mycological studies of this fungus and its products are in progress. Keywords
