Proteins in Normal Cerebrospinal Fluid Not Found in Serum.

Abstract

Immuno-electrophoresis of normal concentrated cerebrospinal fluid, developed with a specific rabbit anti-cerebrospinal fluid antiserum, has demonstrated in the gamma and beta areas two proteins not found in serum. These two fractions probably correspond to some of the 6 gamma fractions obtained by agar gel micro-electrophoresis of concentrated cerebrospinal fluid from patients with lymphatic meningitis.
