Ntaya Virus. A Hitherto Unknown Agent Isolated from Mosquitoes Collected in Uganda.

Abstract
A virus which is neurotropic for Swiss mice and nonpathogenic for hamsters and peripherally inoculated rhesus monkeys, was isolated from a lot of 1318 mosquitoes caught at the Ntaya swamp in w. Uganda. The agent is readily filterable and may be preserved by lyophilization. It is immunologically distinct from all the 22 viruses with which it has been compared. Its natural hosts are unknown.
