THE SPECTRUM OF SILICON HYDRIDE

Abstract

The 0–0, 1–0, 2–1, and 2–2 bands of the ²Δ–²Π band system of SiH have been photographed under high dispersion and analyzed. The vibrational and rotational constants have been determined and the dissociation energy has been found to be 3.19 ± 0.25 ev. A list of SiH lines which may occur as interstellar absorption lines is given.
