Die alkalische Zersetzung der Hexachlorcyclohexane

Abstract
As a foundation for the quantitative analysis of the isomers, the total content of hexachlorocyclohexanes was determined by alkaline decomposition at about 70-80[degree] by means of the Raman spectra of their mixtures. The splitting-off mechanism in the individual isomers, of which the structure assumed by Slade and Daasch was also made probable by the Raman spectra, is discussed and trans-splitting-off of HC1 according to an E2-reaction was considered as supported. The sequence of decomposition velocities resulting thereby agreed with the authors measurements and with values in the literature. The end products of decomposition were analyzed by their Raman spectra.
