Abstract
Summary We have presented a technic of excision and primary closure for the treatment of pilonidal disease. It has been shown that pilonidal disease is probably an acquired condition. A limited excision with primary closure done under local anesthesia will correct the problem in most patients. Technics of open packing and wide mobilization of tissues can lead to prolonged convalescence and are unwarranted in most cases. Keywords
