Abstract
Measurements have been made of the creep shown by polycrystalline wires of a hardened alloy (Cu+3% Ag) both at room temperature and 90° K. The results are interpreted in terms of the Mott-Nabarro theory of transient creep. The agreement between theory and experiment is qualitatively good, and the quantitative discrepancies suggest directions in which the existing theory might be refined. Keywords
