Hall effect in amorphousLa1−xGaxfoils

Abstract

Values of the Hall coefficient for ${\mathrm{La}}_{1-x}{\mathrm{Ga}}_x$ "splat-cooled" foils with $x=0.16, 0.20, 0.22, \mathrm{and} 0.26$ are presented. The Hall coefficient is positive for this system like that of liquid La and exhibits a temperature dependence which correlates with the temperature coefficient of resistance.
