Abstract
The electric quadrupole interaction of implanted in a zinc single crystal has been studied by means of low-temperature nuclear orientation. An electric-field-gradient value of +1.71(11) × V/ is deduced. This measurement provides a first inclusion of a one-valent probe into the systematics.
