Abstract
Effective energy thresholds have been measured for the cross sections of complete fusion reactions induced by krypton ions on and . They show that the minimum distance of approach for the reaction is shorter than with lighter projectiles and corresponds to a Coulomb repulsion at a distance of fm with fm instead of 1.45 fm.
