Abstract
The experiences of anticoagulation services at two municipal teaching hospitals provide therapeutic guidelines with broad applicability to the ambulatory care of patients receiving oral anticoagulants. A uniform approach to patient selection, education, and monitoring has resulted in low morbidity and no anticoagulant-related mortality.Keywords
