Abstract
Experiments in which lysine preparations labeled with tritium on C 4 and 5 and on C 6 served as sources for biosynthesis of hydroxylyslne in collagen Indicated that during the hydroxylatlon of lysine no H atom other than the one which is replaced by a hydroxyl group becomes exchangeable. The most plausible interpretation is that the hydroxylation occurs with direct addition of an O atom to lysine C 5.This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
