Abstract
Dunlap and Dini (1986) have found a decagonal phase instead of the icosahedral quasicrystal in a rapidly solidified Al6Co alloy. The decagonal phase is similar but not identical to those found in Al6Mn and Al6Fe alloys. The crystalline phase coexisting with this decagonal phase is Al9Co2. The authors carry out a transmission electron microscopy study of the quasicrystal structure of the alloy. Keywords
