Abstract
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is rapidly becoming the definitive method for treating symptomatic gallbladder stones. Previous upper abdominal surgery is a relative contraindication to this technique. We describe a method for safely placing the trocars in a scarred abdomen, thus facilitating laparoscopic cholecystectomy in a wider group of patients. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
