Abstract
This paper describes some basic characteristics of corona discharges and radio noise meters and establishes a general approach for radio noise analysis on high-voltage lines. The validity of this approach is demonstrated by tests. Tests are also used to evaluate and to calibrate the radio noise meters in terms of signal-to-noise ratios and the quality of radio reception.Keywords
