Abstract

P. excelsa contains pinitol, L-arabinose, chrysin, tectochrysin, pinobanksin, pinocembrin, and pinosylvine monomethyl ether. P. virginiana contains L-arabinose, pinobanksin (probably 3,5,7-trihydroxy-flavanone), pinocembrin (5,7-dihydroxyflavanone) and a very small amt. of pinosylvin monomethyl ether.
