In an attempt to resolve the uncertainty concerning normal values for leukocyte counts and their possible variation with age and sex, total and differential leukocyte counts in 507 healthy adults were analyzed. Values approximated those previously reported, with the exception of lymphocytes, for which our 97.5 percentile was lower. No significant variation was noted with age and sex.
