Abstract
Four major domains of organizational effectiveness in colleges and universities are identified—academic, morale, external adaptation, and extracurricular domains—and four types of institutions are found that differ significantly in the domains of effectiveness in which they excel. Among the major institutional characteristics that predict domain effectiveness are type of academic program offered, institutional affluence, and institutional stability. Keywords
