In olfactometer tests okra was more attractive than cotton to Eucelatoria sp. females and the difference in attractancy was time dependent. Cotton leaves were attractive even when plants were subjected to short natural photoperiods, but certain weather conditions reduced the attractancy of okra and cotton. For okra the flower was the most attractive component tested and size affected the attractancy of leaves. Water vapor from plant components had no effect on attraction of flies to okra and cotton.
