Spontaneous Atherosclerosis of Bovine

Abstract
Spontaneous atherosclerosis was studied in 30 cattle, ranging in age from 3 months to 10 years. The incidence of sponteneous atherosclerosis was low in the thoracic aorta, but the frequency was higher in the abdominal aorta. A disruption of the internal elastic membrane and sclerosis of the tunica intima and media were associated with the abdominal plaques.
