High-field conduction and oscillations in polymers

Abstract
A study of high‐field conduction and oscillations in polymers is presented. It appears that there are two types of oscillations, depending upon the strength of the applied field: the regular oscillations (RO) and the prebreakdown oscillations (PBO). The interpretation shows the importance of the emission of the contact and the determining influence of the traps inherent in the very structure of high polymers.Keywords
