Abstract
Linear response theory and Kirkwood–Yvon theory are combined to calculate the dielectric tensor in the presence of a weak molecular orientational order. The results for the dielectric tensor are then used to calculate depolarized scattering intensities via the ’’phenomenological’’ theory. Keywords
