Proton magnetic resonance studies of some tissues and fluids of the eye

Abstract
The proton magnetic resonance signals and magnetic relaxation times of different parts of the eye have been recorded. Narrow resonance lines seemed to arise from tissues and fluids with a high water content, while a lower water percentage was associated with a broader signal. The results are discussed with special reference to the possibility of distinguishing between free and protein bound water.
