Abstract
Describes apparatus developed for irradiation of biological material with a uniform intensity of ultrasonics over an area of a few sq. cm. Within the frequency range 950-1700 kc./sec., intensities of 41 W./sq. cm. have been measured with a calorimeter. At a frequency of 1.2 Mc./sec., 55 W./sq. cm. has been measured, a value more than 30% higher than values previously reported. Keywords
