Photoionization of sodium and potassium by the method of polarized orbitals

Abstract
The polarized-orbital method is used to calculate the photoionization cross sections for sodium and potassium in direct analogy to earlier calculations for lithium. However, in the present case, unsatisfactory results are obtained which suggest that the polarized-orbital method has limited predictive capabilities.Keywords
