A portable unit for the thermal decomposition of halogenated hydrocarbons is designed to be used in the sampling of workroom atmosphere. Analysis of standard samples indicates that at a sampling rate of 2.5 liters per min., recovery of CCl4 and trichloroethylene is quantitative.
