Abstract
The photoionization cross sections of the , , and subshells of Zn i are calculated from threshold to 1000 eV. Electron-correlation effects are included using a low-order perturbation expansion obtained from many-body perturbation theory. The cross section is also calculated in the exact single-channel random-phase approximation with exchange. Autoionizing resonances due to the and configurations are included in the cross section, and the effect of core relaxation is considered. The effect of single-channel and multichannel correlations is included in all subshell cross sections.
