Abstract
The problem of determining the secretory rate of 2 peripherally interconvertible hormones by tracer techniques has been examined. A mathematical analysis has afforded expressions from which the calculations can be made of the rates of irreversible production of the interconvertible hormones in such a pair as well as the rates of their interconversion. Special cases in which some of the rates of secretion or interconversion are zero have been considered. The applicability of the analysis to the pair, dehydroisoandrosterone-dehydroisoandrosterone sulfate is discussed. Keywords
