Abstract
In dogs receiving graded doses of vit. A, the level in the blood was proportional to the intake of the vit. During a depletion period, the blood vit. A gradually fell to a very low level (not detectable by the SbCl3 reaction in 30 ml. blood). A "low" blood vit. level, however, cannot be considered a definite sign of depleted reserves of the vit.
