Neutron-Diffraction Study of TiFexCo1−x Alloys

Abstract

Neutron‐diffraction measurements indicate that TiFe_xCo_1−x alloys with x=0.45, 0.50, and 0.55 are completely ordered in the CsCl lattice. Polarized neutron measurements on alloys with x=0.45 and 0.55 suggest that the observed magnetization arises primarily from the Co and Fe atoms, and is fairly well localized.
