Abstract
Tomatin exhibits anti-biotic properties in its present uncrystallized form. It is effective against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Phytomonas solanacearum, Aspergillus clavatus, Fusarium oxysporum f. lycopersici, F. oxysporum f. pisi, F. oxysporum f. conglutinans, Candida albicans, Trichophyton mentagro-phytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Microsporum audouini. It does not inhibit Escheriohia coli and Penicillium notatum. If proven nontoxic to man and animals and effective in vivo, it might be useful in the treatment of certain fungus infections. Keywords
