Abstract
Bootstrapping is a means of enhancing the gain of amplifier stages while retaining a compact circuit. The precise means of gain increase are analyzed and described qualitatively, as well as the frequency limitations of the circuits. Examples are drawn from NMOS and GaAs MESFET implementations. Keywords
