Abstract
An ultrasonic method to diagnose acute testicular torsion is presented. With the doppler principle the presence of absence of intratesticular arterial pulsation can be demonstrated. In 5 patients with acute testicular torsion and 10 patients with epididymitis a correct ultrasonic diagnosis was made. In long-standing torsions some arterial pulsation may be present. Keywords
