Abstract
In 8 cases [human] of Hodgkin''s disease of various types, Ig [immunoglobulin] was found within approximately 1/3 of the RS [Reed-Sternberg] and HD [Hodgkin] cells. The Ig within each RS and HD cell consisted of .gamma.h chains and .kappa. and .lambda.L chains. The most probable origin of the Ig is uptake of IgG-containing immune complexes. The presence of both types of L chain in individual RS and HD cells is inconsistent with an origin of these types of cell from B [bone marrow derived] lymphocytes. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
