Abstract
In a series of 198 patients examined by the fractionated method of oral cholecystangiography Biloptin and Solu-Biloptin were used and compared with regard to tolerance with iopanoic acid and Phenobutiodil. There was no significant difference in tolerance between Biloptin and iopanoic acid but Biloptin was apparently better tolerated than Phenobutiodil. Biloptin appears to be a safe and reliable method for cholecystography but its usefulness in demonstrating the duct system is less satisfactory than Biligrafin, for which it cannot be considered a substitue. Keywords
