Abstract
The methyl ester of (+)-3,4-anhydroshikimic acid was isolated from the fungus C. microspora (Corda) Hughes. The structure was elucidated by spectroscopy and was confirmed by synthesis of the title compound and its 5-epimer. Synthesis via a partially resolved intermediate allowed the absolute configuration to be assigned. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
