Checklist of pooid grasses naturalised in New Zealand. 1- Tribes Nardeae, Stipeae, Hainardieae, Meliceae, and Aveneae

Abstract

Reported as naturalised in New Zealand are one taxon of tribe Nardeae, thirteen taxa of tribe Stipeae, three of tribe Hainardieae, seven of tribe Meliceae, and, in tribe Aveneae, nineteen taxa of subtribe Aveninae, nine of subtribe Phalaridinae, and twenty-one of subtribe Alopecurinae. Ten other records (one tribe Stipeae, one tribe Meliceae, eight tribe Aveneae) are unsubstantiated. A synopsis of tribes is provided as well as keys, to native and naturalised genera, to naturalised species, and to native species where they occur with naturalised species in the same genus.
