Chemical and electrical behaviour of graphite–metal halide compounds

Abstract
Interest in the behaviour of graphite–metal halide intercalates as synthetic metals has prompted fresh investigations into their chemistry. From direct observations on charge transfer, as well as conventional determinations of weight uptake, new findings are recorded on intercalation compounds of graphite with GaCl3, InCl3, FeCl3, and CrO2Cl2, as well as negative results with GaBr3 and WCl6.
