In this study, the effect of wind stress on the velocity of flow and the stratified distribution of water temperature in a bay, was studied. As the result, it was concluded that the effect of winds should be taken into consideration in the design of intake structures of cooling water. The form of the interface slope of the two layers and the flow conditions towards the intake at the innermost of the bay is examined in detail.
