Abstract
A method is provided to analyze the extended x-ray-absorption fine structure (EXAFS) of mixed-phase systems in which the absorbing atoms are distributed among different phases. The EXAFS of absorption atoms in a mixed-phase system is a linear combination of the EXAFS of the absorption atoms in each single phase. Not only the structure parameters but also the phase contents can be determined for mixed-phase systems by this method. Actual samples are tested and the results agree very well with known ones. Keywords
