Abstract
ONLY 7 documented cases of the spontaneous disappearance of gallstones are recorded.1 It is most unlikely that this is in fact such a rare phenomenon. It is of particular interest, however, to know whether gallstones can pass spontaneously without colic or jaundice, in the absence of a fistula.Case ReportA 59-year-old woman was admitted to St. George's Hospital in October, 1960, having had attacks of epigastric pain immediately after meals, associated with vomiting and loose stools for 3 weeks.
