Phosphorylierung von D-Glycerinsäure zu 2-Phospho-D-glycerinsäure mit Glyceratkinase in Leber, II.

Abstract
Glycerate kinase from liver mitochondria converts D-glycerate exclusively to 2-phospho-D-glycerate in the presence of ATP. The enzyme preparations are free from phos-phoglyceromutase. In confirmation of earlier results, the reaction product was identified as 2-phospho-D-glycerate by paper chroma-tography. No 3-phospho-D-glycerate could be demonstrated in the enzyme reaction mixtures.
