Abstract
Phage for P. pestis in a dilution 10 times the least amt. giving confluent lysis of the strain on which it was propagated, lysed all strains of P. pestis tested (35 virulent and 17 avirulent) on agar plates at 20[degree]C. This dilution of phage failed to lyse any of 45 strains of P. pseudotuberculosis at 20[degree] C, thus permitting rapid differentiation of the 2 spp. Keywords
