Abstract
Examination with the electron microscope of nerve cells of the bull frog and earthworm permitted the recognition of pores in the nuclear membrane and dense particles both in the nucleus and associated with the loose ergastoplasm of the cytoplasm. The dense particulate matter of the cytoplasm is considered to be nuclear origin. These observations are interpreted as supporting the "replacement hypothesis" of nucleo-cytoplasmic relationship. Keywords
