Abstract
A method is given for the production of unpurified pertussis endotoxin in relatively large amounts. Toxins prepared by repeated freezing and thawing and by sonic treatment are shown to be similar with respect to neutralization by antiserum. The structure of the H. pertussis cell is discussed. Suggestions are made for a theoretically desirable pertussis vaccine. Keywords
