Studies Related to Naturally-Occurring Acetylene Compounds. V. Dehydro Matricaria Ester (Methyl n-decene-triynoate) from the Essential Oil of Artemisia vulgaris L.

Abstract

V. The compound appears both in the roots and the rest of the plant. The root also contains another highly unsaturated compound (Centaur X) and a crystalline acetylenic carbonyl compound. [long dash]VI. E. boreale, E. canadense, E. politum and E. uniflorum contain enzymes. Lacnophyllum ester, matricaria ester, and dehydromatricaria ester were isolated. Hexahydro-matricaria ester and Centaur X were detd. spectrographically.
